Max LX & Dave VJ count down the top 40 selling hip-hop tracks for 1994 on Kiss FM. This rip has a selection of the chart, featuring Shyheim, Black Moon, Wu Tang, A Tribe Called Quest and Craig Mack.
Highlights are a nice jazzy remix of Domino’s Ghetto Jam, Pete Rock’s remix of You Can’t Stop the Prophet, and hearing the 12″ versions of early Black Moon tracks is always a treat, as they still sound amazing today.
Also featuring a Street Knowledge report looking back at 1994.
There’s some live editing on the tape, as I seemed to have cut out the tunes I didn’t want record.
